The Alabama Gulf Coast:

Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and South Baldwin County

Want in on a great little secret? Alabama has 32 miles of white-sandy beaches and beautiful coastline on the Gulf of Mexico just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed by you. For many years, Alabama’s undiscovered paradise was the sleepy weekend and summer beach getaways for Alabama residents. Now the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area is one of the fastest growing coastal beach communities on the Gulf Coast. A few of the reasons for this growth are:

Alabama's extremly low property tax (Third Lowest in the Country)

Sunny days, star filled nights, warm weather and white sand beaches.

Southern Hospitality, gracefulness, manners and charm.

The Alabama Gulf Coast and South Baldwin County area with its beaches, numerous bays, rivers and freshwater lakes offer the buyer a great selection of property to choose from. Whether its beach-front condos and homes to bay houses and river-front living we have every kind of waterfront you could hope for, and all within a 30 mile radius. There are also at least nine golf courses within a 30-minute drive. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are a convenient 45-minuite drive from either Mobile, Ala or Pensacola, FL and their regional airports.

The majority of properties in the area are recent construction built with the expected amenities; granite countertops, high ceilings, new appliances and other modern conveniences. So if you are new to the area or have been here for years it is easy to see why buying Real Estate in the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley, and South Baldwin County area is a smart move.

The Alabama Gulf Coast has weathered the oil spill with swift action by BP and the United States Coast Guard.  The gentle, sparkling emerald green waters are once again lapping the shore and since October the beaches starting at Fort Morgan and progressing westward are being deep cleaned. Even in the midst of an oil spill and an economic recession, smart buyers from all over are realizing the time to invest in the Alabama Gulf Coast has arrived.

The Economic Recession, Bank Foreclosures and Short Sales

The economic recession has affected the Gulf Coast market just as it has the rest of the country. Foreclosures and short sales have become a large part of our business. Deals abound and not just in foreclosures and short sales. Many sellers are selling their property and are pricing them at market value which is the same as what the banks are looking to get on the foreclosed properties. Make sure to look at all the options, not just at foreclosures. You could end up with a better deal and fewer headaches.

Finding the right property

Finding the right property in our area is a little different from finding a home in most cities. There are so many things to consider. We have many different types of property and you want to make sure you find the one that is right for you.

Ask yourself:

  • Condo or a house?
  • Gulf-front of bay front?
  • Golf course or rural?
  • Old or new?
  • Primary home or investment property?
  • Foreclosure, short sale or regular purchase?

You need a Real Estate agent that cares about your needs and can help you find the right property at the right price based on your individual needs. Whether you are looking for a waterfront home, investment property, or if this is you first home, I will work with you to make sure that your needs are met and you are comfortable with the process. After all Real Estate is usually the biggest single investment that most people make. Please feel free to Contact Me and I will be happy to help you find what you are looking for.
